Please join us Friday, June 6th to celebrate the amazing book,  You Can Tell By Looking” and 20 Other Myths About LGBT Life and People (Beacon Press). Written by BYLES’s own scholar and activist Ann Pellegrini, along with Michael Bronski, and Michael Amico, this book unpacks enduring, popular, and deeply held myths about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, culture, and life in America. And get this! It’s been nominated for Lambda Literary Award (prizes announced June 2nd)! e can’t wait to kick off Pride Month by raising some cash for the Lower Eastside Girls and celebrating this impressive work.

Nite Sweats a community class and all proceeds go to Lower Eastside Girls Club. The Girls Club provides after school programming to economically disadvantaged girls who live on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
